CrossFit Green Leaf has officially completed Year Two. This milestone gives us an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come and define the direction we want the gym to take moving forward. That direction is centered on providing meaningful service to the people who matter most: our members, coaches, partners, and surrounding community. Over the past year, we have learned that support does not have to be lavish or extravagant. Sometimes, the greatest form of support is simply being present, available, and willing to help or listen when it matters.

Throughout Year Two, collaboration, partnership, networking, resilience, and hope continued to shape the Green Leaf experience. Every workout, workshop, competition, donation drive, and community event reminded us that Green Leaf is more than a place to exercise. It is a place to connect, contribute, and grow.
Collaboration and Partnership
Our programming continued to grow through CrossFit, HYROX, Mayhem Strength, Olympic weightlifting, mobility, breathing, and nutrition education. Coaches and members worked together to create an environment where athletes of all ages, abilities, and experience levels could feel welcomed, challenged, and supported. Our themed workouts and events gave members new ways to train and connect. Highlights included the Manion Hero WOD, Memorial Day Murph and barbecue, the Independence WOD and taco bar, a Halloween workout, and a December holiday WOD with a HYROX-inspired twist. HYROX in the Park and our first Spring Run also brought the community together outside the gym, and both are events we hope to repeat.
Our commitment to service continued through Avion Village, where we participated in the Grand Prairie Big Event and the Fall Sweep. Partnerships with 6 Stones Mission Network, Arlington Life Shelter, Boot Campaign, Mission Arlington, and The Salvation Army also helped us support donation drives, charitable events, wellness initiatives, and greater access to movement, nutrition, and community resources.
CrossFit Green Leaf also collaborated with 6 Stones Mission Network and Mission Arlington on the Movement First Resilience Initiative, a grant proposal submitted to Texas Health. The initiative is designed to support underrepresented individuals and families through movement, nutrition education, wellness services, and community resources. This work reflects the direction we hope to continue pursuing: using fitness to create meaningful change beyond the walls of the gym.

We are also grateful for the support of Wellhub, GKN Photos, LMNT, FITAID, LSKD, David Protein, Chike, R.BST Gear Company, Proletas, Unique Apparel, Apex Supply Company, DFW Fitness Collective, and the many local businesses and individuals who contributed to our progress.
Networking and New Opportunities
Competitions, workshops, local events, and professional relationships helped us build connections beyond the gym. Our athletes represented CrossFit Green Leaf at local CrossFit competitions, the Dallas HYROX race, running events, and other fitness challenges. Each experience encouraged our members to pursue new goals, step outside their comfort zones, and support one another along the way.

We also highlighted the knowledge within our own community through mini workshops led by Coach Alex and Lizet, founder of EnduraLiz. These sessions focused on nutrition, recovery, meal preparation, race fueling, breathing techniques, and sustainable health habits. The workshops allowed members to learn practical strategies that could support both athletic performance and everyday life. Not every event went according to plan. Our November WOD with Angels event was canceled because of limited registration and its proximity to the HYROX race. While disappointing, it reminded us that growth also requires knowing when to adjust, reassess, and try again. In May, we hosted Rise & Grind: Operation Endurance, a community competition that showcased the variety of training offered at CrossFit Green Leaf. The event brought athletes together for a challenging and rewarding experience, with proceeds benefiting Boot Campaign and reinforcing our commitment to honoring service and giving back through fitness.
Resilience Through Change

Year Two brought challenges that required flexibility, patience, and creative problem-solving. Programming evolved, schedules changed, facility improvements were made, and the realities of operating a small, community-focused business required persistence. Through it all, our members continued to show up. Resilience was demonstrated by every person who returned after time away, modified a workout, trained through pregnancy, recovered from an injury, supported another member, or simply decided not to give up. It was also demonstrated by our coaches, who remained patient and adaptable while continuing to guide, encourage, and serve our members. Their commitment helped maintain consistency even as the gym continued to grow and change.
Looking Toward the Future
As CrossFit Green Leaf enters Year Three, our direction is becoming clearer. We want to continue building a gym that responds to the needs of its people while remaining committed to service, accessibility, education, and connection. Green Leaf is still in its infancy, but the foundation has been built, relationships are growing, and new opportunities are taking shape. Continuing this work will require creativity, collaboration, and sustainable financial support. In the coming year, we will explore new partnerships, sponsorships, grants, fundraising efforts, special events, and expanded programming to help strengthen the business and keep Green Leaf moving forward.

Our goal is not simply to remain open, but to create a sustainable future that allows us to continue serving our members and the broader community. Support can take many forms: encouraging someone through a difficult workout, checking on an absent member, creating affordable opportunities, sharing knowledge, volunteering, investing in an initiative, or connecting someone with a helpful resource. It does not have to be lavish. It simply has to be available.
Year Two showed us what is possible when people work together with a shared purpose. We are grateful to our coaches, investors, members, partners, sponsors, volunteers, families, friends, and supporters who helped us reach this milestone.
Thank you for believing in the vision and continuing with us into Year Three. Together, we will keep moving, connecting, serving, and building a stronger future, one workout, one relationship, and one act of support at a time.
